oooc...
Good discussion going on, folks, I so appreciate your participation and bouncing ideas around!

So. This is what I gather from the consensus, and some of my thoughts:

1. Send 2, 3, or 4 of us to the actual show. Some will watch the main event, some will watch the *crowd*.

2. Those who don't go into the show will mingle with townfolk outside the main tent, watching and/or participating in the games.

3. After the show starts would be a good time for a thief or two to try to sneak into the magician's tent and see if there is a spell book or other magical items or clues, including a journal? letters? And generally investigate the larger tents.

4. Don't you think it's odd that the circus will *immediately* pull out of town, right after the show, and in the *dark*?? Very suspicious.

5. Those who attend the actual main event should NOT carry any spare GP into the tent!!! Not a good idea if you are going to be hypnotized or spellbound. Leave your extra GP in the safekeeping of a party member or at home.

6. Probably better to leave our gear at our respective homes until such time as we decide to depart and follow the caravan out of town.
----------------------

If we are all generally agreed on these points, then:

A. Who will attend the show? I can't access Party Stats right now (not even my own!!), but probably those with high MIND should go. Of those who go, who will watch the Magician, and who will watch the crowd?

B. Who will browse the grounds among the games? Those with high SOUL should go, because they are less likely to waste GP smile.gif

C. Who will attempt to enter the large tents? Thieves, obviously, but also with high BODY (for stealthy movements) MIND (for puzzling out traps/snares) and SOUL (to make quick decisions).

Circus camp

I will watch the crowd, and act as backup for anyone who gets into trouble. I got the idea there was a bank, so i think we should all 'deposite' our monies there. Whatever..

Having no gold, perhaps I should help explore the tents. Being a magician, I may be beter able to spot magickal items than the others.

Okay, after accessing the Stats, here goes the proposed order of the evening show:

Ariadne - attends the main event and watches the Magician.
Ice - attends the main event and watches the crowd and the workers.
Both will leave their excess GP at home.

Airmed, Althea, and Eissa will sneak into the large tents and investigate for spell books, letters, journals, and any other clues to the strange occurrences at the shows.

Ramsus, Shade, and Wimplo will attend the games and watch for suspicious activity by the circus workers.

Does this meet with approval?

Anything else you want your character to do specifically, please post it so that I can include it in Party Order.

Eissa? You with us?

Sounds great to me. I will acompany Wimpolo and watch people play games (Possibly chear) because of my lack of GPs. While I'm doing that I'll make sure nothing suspicous is happening out of the corner of my eye.

I am not sure I want to leave my money at home. I would rather post that I am looking for a safe place to hide it at home rather than just leaving it. I don't want to be robbed. I will keep 5 gp on me in addition to the 1 I need for the ticket price. Or, if Wimplo, is willing I would actually prefer that he hold onto my gold for me. He is not going to the show and he is well armed.

OOC: Sorry for the recent lack of posting, but I've been having a bit of a tiff at home with my father. Apologies for lack and length of posts, but I will try. sad.gif

IC: Eissa looks somewhat listless. Her day hasn't gone quite well. First she'd let her tongue get the better of her (again) and then she'd been forced to eat rations. She hated eating rations, having being raised on far more nutritious food such as pies flinched from windowsills. Suddenly realizing that her opinion was being called for, she jerks out of her reverie and starts blushing as per normal.

"Ah, sorry, sorry. Just to say that what you propose is perfectly fine with me. Sorry, eh... but do I really have to go inside the tents? I mean, I don't mind it..." Eissa seems to stumble over her words, one following the other with absolutely no thought between each one. "Just that I'm probably not the best person. I'm clumsy and everything, see. Perhaps I might go to the games instead? Of course, I don't mind going to the tents, I really don't..."

Her face finally reaching it's pinnacle of red, Eissa shuts up, fearing that she's said too much. Nervously glancing from side to side, her hands fidget under her cloak, before she actually realizes something. She's wearing black clothing, and it's going to be nightfall. It's rather hard to spot a person in black at night, Eissa remembers. "You know," she murmurs, "maybe I should go after all."
