Hitachi DZ-H300A
DZ-H300A model I've been testing falls short. The run-of-the-mill video is especially grainy in low light. It's about as far from high-definition as you can get, though you can shoot in HDTV-like widescreen. The battery life is woeful. And the camera is too complicated. It's not even immediately obvious how to charge the battery. Don't count on documentation for help. There's no quick-start guide. The chunky manual is pitiful.
