A New Dinosaur

In this field discovery opens up a whole new world.

PHILADELPHIA - A curious piece of bone spotted by a University of Pennsylvania professor during a horseback ride in southern Montana led to the discovery of a new dinosaur with a long neck, a whip-like tail and a mysterious extra hole in its skull.

Some more information to add to Neo's thread (the original link no longer exists). The name of this newly discovered dinosaur is Suuwassea, pronounced SOO-oo-WAH-see-uh eh-MEE-LEE-aye). It was a plant eating dinosaur and its name means 'Ancient Thunder'. The second hole in its skull still puzzles scientists today. Maybe it was for an extra horn of some sort or even better an appendage not yet discovered in other dinosaurs. That would be pretty neat. Anyway, here is a link from Science Daily with more information:

To add to Malexander's post, the name is Suuwassea emilieae, if you wondered where that eh-mee-lee-aye comes from.
