Two separate studies reveal the vehicles most stolen in the U.S.
The 1995 Saturn SL received the dubious honor of being the most stolen vehicle of 2003, according to the most recent stolen vehicle report from CCC Information Services Inc. The CCC report is based on the number of vehicles thefts in 2003 compared to the number of registered vehicles and found that one out of every 200 1995 Saturn SLs registered was stolen last year. I have a Honda Civic which has always been in the top ten, and I think still is. Luckily I still have it in my possession. Plus it is an older model, although the older models are not excluded, in fact sometimes these models are more lucrative in the black market. My other car is an SUV, a Ford Explorer, which is not on the list. Doesnt seem like SUV's are stolen as much as cars are.
Yes Malexander Honda has always made the top ten list of stolen cars. Trust me I know. I use to have a 96 Honda Civic and they stole it just months after purchasing the car. (4 months) Now I have a 04 Acura which is also on the 10 most stolen cars. What is the best car alarm out there on the market ?
Definitely not the one that comes pre-installed with the Honda Civic I left it parked out on our street the other day and all of a sudden it started going bezerk. Turns out there was a short in the security system and we had to disable it. Now I have no alarm on my car, and the horn doesnt work. I could take it to Honda but I know they will charge me an arm and a leg to fix it.
