David Beckham - Page 5

This news is JUST in....NEWSFLASH!

Rather off topic, but...
David Beckham scratched his rear-end at approximately 10:21pm tonight. It is reported that his briefs were not seating properly and required adjustment. More news and rear-end scratching pics to come...

Is it just me or does it seem as though there is a total obsession with this guy by the media. Seeing more soccer than I should living in Asia, I have watched this guy play for the last few years and while he is a good player his great days have been gone for quite sometime now, but yet we constantly get updates on him. Please remember, he is playing American Soccer and he isn't blowing anyone away. Even I, as an American, realize the quality of our game is not on par with the European Leagues.

Hopefully, he gets sellouts for the LA Gallaxy for his tenure, because he certainly isn't the star on the field!

Overrated, overrated, overrated. That sums up David Beckham in three words. I live in England and I am fed up by misguided and blatantly biased Englishmen who reminisce the days Beckham could curl free kicks in with ease. Big deal. Almost every good team in Europe has a dead ball specialist who can do that.

When he was at his prime at Man Utd, he was the best right winger in the England team. So what. He was nowhere near the best right winger in the world.

Unfortunately, and I genuinly like Beckham's honesty and work ethic, he lives in the shadow of his celebrity and that will always detract from Beckham the footballer. That's why Ferguson got rid of him.

Just a couple of weeks ago La Galaxy got slaughtered 5-2 by Sydney FC, an Australian club side! Beckham drew 80,000 people to watch that game. That is great for football but sad that it requires a celebrity who plays for a d-grade club side to lure people to a beautiful sport.

I think he was a waste of money for LA Galaxy because he won't play for too many years and doesn't add a great deal of quality to the league. That money would be better spent introducing 10 young brazilians into the league than one David Beckham.

Now that Beckham has left the US I wonder if he thinks he has significantly improved the interest of football there? What about in fact, has he?

As he states he won't do it because he does not want to "upset" his wife, it seems like Victoria is quite the jealous type specially for someone like Angelina Jolie! laugh.gif

I do not blame him. I would rather be in a advertisement with his wife Victoria than Angelina. I think that Victoria is a lot better looking. I hope they find someone else that he would be more willing to work with for the ad.

By the way, you all probably know he went to Europe to play and is now back in the US. He and Donavan had some words about his decision to leave the US for Europe, but it seems that has been amended now.

I don't find Victoria Beckham good looking at all. Angelina Jolie is overrated yes, but she still a good looking woman. I think Beckham is just insecure.
