It doesn't matter JB, that's the point.

I know, I am not saying I am in agreement with the reaction of the locals to the team, I am merely stating the fact that if they are to receive help then they need to perform. Why Trinidadians are not patriotic is a whole other thread, one that has already been posted. I can tell you that the way things are being handled and the way the team is performing so far leaves much to be desired. Actually they are supposed to have a game today against the Dominican Republic. I will let you how that goes and the support they get.

Where are they playing? Will be they showing it on TV? that's another issue I don't understand, they spend thousands of dollars buying the rights for other foreign games to show and they cannot show you the local team!???

I do not know if it will be on TV, but they usually show highlights on the news and the game itself a few days after - not very exciting. I guess they want to encourage ticket sales.

Football fans a follow-up, T&T beat the Dominican Republic 4-0 and the 4 goals were all scored in the second half which should tell you something.

Those are good news Rasta, I hope they keep it up, the only team I see a problem with is Mexico in the next round, but I know the Trini team can win if they want to.

On the 18th the 'Soca Warriors' defeated St. Vincent and the Grenadines 2-0, so it seems they are moving along in terms of World Cup qualifications, although St. Vincent is one of the lowest ranked CONCACAF teams (151).

Yep, lowest ranked so that should have been a high scoring game. I do not want to sound pessimistic or unpatriotic, but based on their past performances I really do not see them qualifying for the World Cup - sorry to say.
