Great computerized animation in this movie but I didn't like the fact that the scenario was in the time of Dracula but Van Helsing acts and dress like a cowboy -->
Mixing of old and new, not in my particular taste. The acting was very good and the script was also very good. I would rated it A for animation, acting, and sound.
I saw the movie more like a comedy. It had good action and animation, but in the end who could take it seriously? This movie along with most of the others focus on the dark side of things where someone that is 'good' has to same mankind. Very Catholic by the way, with almost all the situations bringing in reference to that church.

I liked it, but I'd have to agree that it was difficult to take seriously. There were parts that seemed to belong more in a made-for-tv movie than a hollywood production.
The music was fantastic, the animation was great. And I love anything that involves killing vampires and other denizens of the night.
I really liked Van Helsings character, although there was a lot that was left unexplained. For example:
********SPOILER*************
Why did he kill dracula in the first place?
Why was he the 'left hand of God' and what does that mean?
He had to have been at least two or three hundred years old, what's up with that?
Why doesn't he remember his past?

Still, and enjoyable movie overall. Oh, and by the way, I think Dracula was supposed to have lived around the mid 1800's? That's about right for cowboys, maybe only a difference of 25-50 years.
My own personal opinion? I loved it! the casting of Draculas brides was obviously just based on looks... those pretty faces had absolutly no acting talent, but the movie as a whole was amazing! (part of it might be the fact that I am fascinated by Vampires and the while dark theme, but hey, thats me.
