This was very disturbing to read. It is my hope that they find the perpetrator, and kudos to Meadow Gold Dairy who offered the reward. It is good to see local businesses attempting to give back to the community like this.

Woman Year Beating

That is so sad. I just cannot imagine what goes through people's minds when they do something of that nature. I have felt horrible anytime I've ever hurt somebody on accident. I can't fathom going out of my way to do it on purpose.

Earlier this year one of the advisors at my college lost his elderly mother to murder. She had been renting a room out to a friend of the family and ended up kicking him out for something. He ended up murdering her. It was so sad because my school is really small. So, everybody knows everybody and anytime something bad or unpleasant happens to anybody, the entire student body feels their pain. He really encouraged me, though, because he had such a peace from God that he was still able to walk around school smiling. He actually got onto me one morning because I was dead tired and apparently looked it because he told me to smile. smile.gif His words were "Come now, surely you can smile. It can't be that bad."

That was sort of a slap in the face to me because here was a man whose mother had just been murdered, and he was getting onto me about acting glum. I really respect this family because, in the article, it's mentioned that they're trying not to be angry and bitter. I don't know how I would react in a situation such as that, but I'm pretty sure I would be quite angry and bitter. It really is an encouragement to see people go through these trials and tribulations and still try to maintain the concept of forgiveness.
