Curried Lentil Burgers

YA BETTER HANG ON LDS THIS IS FOR U
Curried Lentil Burgers With Coriander Yogurt
They boast that even the real meat lovers will enjoy this
So true to my nature of being EPICURIOUS i gave it a try
1 TBSP veggie oil
1 Onion[choped]
2 Cloves garlic[minced]
1/2 Cup long grain rice
2 TSP Mild curry paste
1-1/4 Cups veggie stock
1/4 TSP Salt
1/4 TSP Pepper
1/2 Cup ground almonds
1 19oz Can lentils,drained and rinsed
1 TBSP Lime or lemon juice
4 Wholewheat burger buns

CORIANDER YOGURT
1/2 Cup balkin style plain yogurt
1/4 Cup finly chopped fresh coriander

over med heat cook onion and garlic until soft add rice and curry paste stir in stock salt and pepper cover and simmer til rice is tender let it cool when done toast almonds over med heat until golden brown in food processer puree lentilswith lime juice til smooth stir into rice mixture shape into 4 1/2 inch thick patties place patties on greesed gril over med heat close lid and grill turning only once during cooking time
in a small bowl stir coriander with yogurt cut your buns in half put cut side down on grill and toast spread coriander mixture over toasted side of bun place your patty on top place other 1/2 of bun on top of the patty and

Oh gosh, thanks Max!!! smile.gif I will definetly try it smile.gif I actually always make lentil burgers but I never thought in curried them, thanks for the suggestion!

tongue.gif LDS you seem like you might be in a rut as far as cooking goes the key to good cooking is 50% imagineation and 50% getting the guts to do what you feel inside and then haveing the brains to write every detail down so that if you produce something real good you will know how to do it over and over lipsrsealed.gif cant remember that good
