We have a thread about where you have been, but this thread is for where you are now.
Where do you live now? You don't have to give city and state if you don't want to. But give a general idea, such as Central Oregon Coast. (also if you haven't already, go to the Member Map and insert your pin)
Why are you there? Parents moved and drug you along?
Do you want to stay, do you like it, or is there someplace else you want to live?
I'll wait for some of your responses before I tell you my answers.

I live in Rochester, MN USA right now with my wife and 2 children. I moved here after graduating from college to work for IBM. I do like it here, although it can get dreadfully cold in the winter time and very long. However, the town is great for families, and I like my job and the people I work with. I would not mind moving to a warmer climate at some time, preferably near the coast, or not too far from it. But I want to be certain we are financially stable, we are moving to a good area and that I have a good job before I make that change.
I live in Riverside, Calif. (USA). I've been here since 1999 when my job moved from Brea, Calif. east about 40miles to Corona, Calif. Riverside is the first city east side of Corona. I went to high school in Riverside in the late 1970's and I loved living here then. Now, sometimes I'm happy here & sometimes I wish I lived closer to my parents in Los Angeles, Calif. I live about 55-60miles east of them. My husband isn't so happy here. I cannot live more than 50 miles away from my job (company rules), & being there for 16 years, I don't want to quit. I guess I won out. He works in Los Angeles on Friday, Sat. & Sunday and stays with his parents those days. If I could move anywhere in the world I'd move to New Mexico. I fell in love with that state when I traveled on vacation.
I live in Marysville Ohio, USA. I was born here and havent lived anywhere else. Our family lives here cause we are close to my dads relations. I like it here, and will probably stay for most of my life, unless, when I merry, my wife wants to live somewhere else. But I'll probably be staying here.
Where do you live now?
Waldport on the Central Oregon Coast
Why are you there?
My husband had been coming here since 1967, he had numerous friends here. He was unhappy with his current job and he wanted to have is own business. So on a trip here, he discovered a tavern that was for sale. He quit his job, emptied out his pension plan and stocks and bought the tavern. I was in Seattle, going to Community College, and when the classes ended I followed him. That was Dec. of 1977.

There were times that I wanted to move. Like after the storm of 1981. That storm ripped roofs off of houses, including mine. Twisted and uprooted trees. I wanted off the coast and into a deep cave!! Several years before I left my husband, I dreamt of moving to Pennsylvania or Tennessee. Why? Don't have a clue. Perhaps because to me they were far away. Now, I like it here. I am established so to speak. I am the one who has friends, who supported me in my escape from the Ex. I enjoy the weather ~ warm wet and cold wet. Though if the new transplanted people continue to bring the chaos, gang banger wanna-be's, drug dealings, and Me Only mentality I may make a trip back to the Gallatin Range Gateway area of Montana and see what changes have taken place there. OR I just may hunt down a deep cave.

I'm in Riverside County, Southern California. It's hot, it's dry, and it's not the greatest place in the world to live, but for right now it's home.
I came here because I was offered a job with a company I had worked for before, and they wanted me to come back (all the way from Tennessee!). So I came back.
If I had a solid opportunity lined up, I would go somewhere not so hot, not so dry. (It's scary when you realize that the majority of the public water here is piped in from somewhere else. !! ) I have a sister in Sacramento I would like to live near; she's going through a rough time -- and she would be a great neighbor
I live in Mesa, Az. Been here most of my life. My Dad was born here in 1924 and my grandmother was born here in 1894 so we go way back to the beginning of the history here. There were 8 of us kids and 7 of the 8 still live here, all married, all with children. My parents have over 40 grandchildren now and all of them live here except for the 5 with my one sister who lives in San Diego and two away on missions for the mormon church. Great grand kids number about 15-20, all here in the Mesa-Gilbert area. So, I stay here for family.
I wouldn't mind living someplace cooler with a little more rain. Maybe some snow in the winter but I'll probaly stay right here.
