This is terribly sad, it does look however that the home did get opened because I've just watched a documentary on either this home or one similar for the 'lost boys'.

It was really heartbreaking to hear one 16 year old boy say that he was trying to treat the lady running the home as his Mom, because it didn't make any difference having an extra Mom...as he already had 3 already! Whereas, the only Dad that he could acknowledge as his Dad was the one that he had to leave behind at the FLDS compound in Colorado.

Apparently, he left his Father openly weeping for his Son, but his Dad felt he had no choice than to obey warren jeffs ruling, and send his Son out and away from his family.

really tragic that all this is going on in the name of religion.

DianeC, very tragic. Brainwashing to the max in my opinion. It was heartbreaking seeing these boys in such need of real parental guidance. They are just BOYS! And without proper guidance, they usually end up in the streets, doing drugs, etc.

Very true LDS, and it is so sad, as they are not the ones who have done wrong, but they are the ones who are suffering for others' faults.
It just makes you wish you could help them.

Stories like this make many wonder the true intent of religious bodies. Is it really to help the believers or simply to use them for some fiendish purpose that benefits just a few in the organization.
