Wow, I think this a probably to little too late. It is allot easier to stand up against communism when the dictator is so old that he no longer commands the fear of the people anymore. Its very obvious that Fidel no longer has the fear hold of his people anymore. I would not be surprised if communism in Cuba died with him in a few years. People have been tired of it for a while but have neve had the guts to stand up to him. But now that he is an old man, they are more brazen about their opposition. Or is it that a new generation of young people are coming into their own and deciding that they want something different?

Wow, I thought he was the kind of leader that he would literally die in power. I am glad to hear he resigned. This is an historic event without a doubt.
