I see nothing wrong with a 4th century Coptic papyrus showing that some early Christians believed that Jesus was married. Jesus spent a lot of time with Mary Magdalene. It is only natural that some would incorrectly assume that they were married. I do not see why the Vatican newspaper felt a need to declare the papyrus fake. If anything, such a papyrus would add additional proof to the Catholic claim that a man known as Jesus ever existed. I would have expected the Vatican newspaper to support the find.
