Sleuth, in Europe no Country has death penalty in its legal system since more or less one hundred fifty years ago. The common thought there is that, if the Government kills its citizens, then it puts itself on the same level as the criminals it has to judge. Death penalty is not popular at all in the Old Continent. Is considered a barbarian practice. Not expressing any judgement, just explaining the situation and the feelings behind it. But I'm European by birth and by culture and I also prefer to see 100 guilty people free rather than a single innocent killed by my Government. Somebody wrongly sentenced to life can still be freed, a cadaver is a cadaver.
About this case, I will never understand how somebody can ever find a child sexually interesting. Is just so sick! And why they have to kill the poor victim after abusing of him\her? Taking away their innocence is not enough of a "Prize" For them? I totally agree on that, Sleuth, they are just sick bastards!
