"That is a good idea too, Elrik" Izumi helps with the gathering of the bones and the whole idea. If she sees places to wedge a bone between the wall and the door, she does.
When at the entrance to the hidden stairs, she pulls the crystal she picked up earlier out of a pocket, and holds it out to the others. "Any one need the light? I volunteer to go first, it would be easier for me to spot the clues left by my child. I'd like the light behind me so it doesn't hamper my vision."
Elrik thinks to himself I wonder how many have made it this far and if they fail how many others will come after them. Elrik takes out his chalk and writes on the wall in common, The fountain will open the doors you see and one you don't. Becareful they will close in time. May Er-u Tan protect you.
Then turns Izumi, "I will go second but keep some distance between us. I can light the way if you need?"
Izumi thinks a moment, then, "Now I wish I had a shield." Izumi laughs to herself. She gathers a few bones and puts them in an empty sack she has. As she ties the sack back up she explains, "For any possible traps. I'd like to be at least a few feet ahead of the first light, I come from a family that have a keen eye at night, if that is alright."
With Izumi in the lead, followed 5 or more feet behind by Elrik, Rudiger in the middle, leaving Felipe and Matthias to take up the back. The group sets off down the steps of the hallway passage, hoping the rig of body and bones, rags and water will work when the timer runs out and the doors close behind them.
As the group slowly moves down the dark stairwell, Izumis ability to see keenly at night and in dark places proves handy. She guides them down 3 flights of stairs each one turning off to the right from the last.
Till she stops every one when the stairs open out into a 5 foot wide hallway, that leads both left and right from the end of the stairs.
She looks around till she sees a chalk written arrow pointing left, and, she can see down the right the foot of steps leading up.
Out of game: The gold star represents the door at the hallways where your stating point was.
Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 RPG Main Game (Hover)
Starting at the gold stair you are walking down the spiral of steps off to the top right of the map.
When you get to the hallway (center map), you can see the path strait up and the path strait down.
With very little exploring needed, you can discover there are off shoots to the left and to the right.
The 3 paths that you did not come down, you briefly look down till you discover steps leading back up. The spiral steps you cam from also would lead back up from the level you are on now. But, the path at the lower end of the map are steps leading down.
Please note I used shading in the map to indicate whether the steps go up or down. The darker side of the steps is always pointing down.
