Izumi tells Felipe that Whisp is indeed her familiar. She wonders to herself what he was doing when she let the snake off her to go in the first place, then dismisses it.

As they walk along she tells her son and anyone else listening that the snake told her the next room was clear, and there are spiders on bodies.

As they near the first corner, Izumi will inspect the webbing there. She will see how strong it is by using one of the spears given to Haru, to agitate the web, then to fully try to rip it apart from ground up.
