(Out of Character: Kitten, the party of 3 have not communicated with the other party of 4 about stopping or finding anything yet. That's why my character asked. On the top of page 100, Elrik alerted the other two with him but not the other 4.)

Hearing Alexanders cautionary warning, Izumi looks down the hallway where he was looking.
(Out of Character:: Listen 20+3=23, Spot 13+3=16)

Out of Character:: Opps....

In Character:: Loud enough for the other group to hear, "Hey, hold up. One second", under his breath to Alexander. "We need to stop splitting up unless there is a purpose we could get isolated and taken out." He shakes his head.

Spot=17 + 6 = 23 (I should not roll as often save up my good rolls)

Search= 12 +5 =17

Izumi looks down the hall her eyes are good but not as good as she wishes they where. The webs and distance to the large room and the odd angle of the space between the shift in the direction of the hall obscuring most of the ability to gleam what is there.

However, you to can tell in the dim light to darkness something is moving ahead, and your ears they hear it. "Scratch... Scratch.... Scratch...." Like the moving of claw or exoskeleton on stone impatiently scraping perhaps balling something up in its webs or just waiting for its pray to come to it.

Elrik takes a moment searching and looking around near the hidden door then he sees it a small gap in the mortar between the stone, not warn or degraded and to perfect in shape it has to be where the trigger is. You feel its outline with your fingers and deem it needs something shoved into it to likely hit a concealed presser switch to open the door.

Anything likely would do; a tip of a spear, the point of a sword, a dagger or stick. The hole is only about 2 inch big but its deeper then your finger length. What tool will you use to attempt to hit the switch within it?

In Game:
Elrik at fist its a bit tough to get it in, then you feel the resistance of a plate and push firmly with the dagger you here a click then a small sound of gears. The resistance of the paint against the dagger stops and the hidden door pushes in, resisting about 8 inches before it begins to slide to the side in to a hidden space int he wall. You hold the dagger tip in long enough to get the door completely despite thinking you could pull it out after you herd the clicking sound and the gears start to open it. As it opens some of the webs near the ceiling that had not been fully burned off tare away. Inside the space behind the hidden door is a passage of deep and steep steps drooping down a full flight in a mater of only 10 feet. At the lower end of the passage you can see a dim outline of another door likely connecting to the next hallway.
You also notice something on the floor at the base of the steps with in the shortcut resting against the wall .

On the wall in the small passage you see 2 small leavers likely the door triggers for opening or closing the hidden doors from with in the 10 foot space that is the passage.

Izumi and Alexander
With the sound of the hidden door opening by Elrik's doing, you both hear a hiss come form where the movement is. The same kind of hiss that you heard one of the spiders do before. The movement seems to be aggravated as its now easier to tell something moving then it was before. You gather whatever was there ether is moving your way from the large room or know knows you are there if they did not already.
