Yaeth's first arrow slices through the head of the small dog sized spider outright killing it. His plan of shooting a 2ed arrow on the same spider is unneeded. A much larger spider farther away (#4) is also lit up by the glow of the stones. So he turns his bow on it firing his last shot for the round and dealing 11 damage to spider 4.

Felipe you can not see spider 5 it is still hidden in the darkness. Izumi can see it because she has the feat dark vision you can only see things in the area of the map with the little glowing dots.
Elrik A spiked chain has reach, so you can strike opponents 10 feet away with it. In addition, unlike most other weapons with reach, it can be used against an adjacent foe. So you must move with in 5 to 10 feet from the spider to use your chain to attack it. Do you hold your ground waiting for it to move to you or move to it while it is in the light?
