
"It's the symbol of a dark Goddess." Alexander tells Erlrik, handing him the broach. He moves forward, both hands on his sword, ready for anything.
In Game:
As Elrik looks at the broach he can tell it is a symbol of Meera. It is not a holy symbol, its brass, a circle inset with the outline of an hourglass. In the hourglass is set 2 deep red stones likely ruby's.
There is a small scrap of red spiders silk fabric attached to the back of the pin. It could be something magical, or just something lovely, but why would someone want something lovely that identified them with such an evil goddess? It is true some Drow even if not Evil minded would worship her as she was the goddess of there race for the most part, and dwelling in the hart of there woods.
Matt looks uneasy as the cleric handles the Broach.
Of all the things to find in a cave full of spiders a relic of the dark goddess of spiders things just keep getting stranger.

If you want more information then just what it looks like you have to make rolls. I won't tell you what to roll for in this case as your investigating something.
"Yaeth, I think the best candidates for that shield would either be Alexander or Felipe, both being men of the sword." Izumi says.
As she looks around the group, Izumi notices Alexander and Elrik in discussion about something. Then she sees an item passed. Curiosity piqued, she asks, "What are you two going on about?"
In Game: Felipe takes a sip from Yaeth's water-skin that Haru given him, Felipe says to Haru, "Thank you" After taking a sip from the water-skin Felipe goes and around and search to see what he can find in this place.
Search roll result: 7 - (7+2 = 9)
Spot roll result: 5 - (5 + 1 = 6)
In Game:
Felipe's searching reveals nothing, but he is at full health so that is good.
As the party moves on heading out of the room they can hear a light sound in the distance.
The group already expecting to hear the sound or running ware quickly identify the sound as they move down the spiral of steps burning webs off as they go.
Slowly the steps become more of a ramp sloping down with cave sides for walls, and a ceiling, even the floor has stopped being flat even stone before is more bumpy and natural. There are a couple of intersection other slopping ramp like paths that connect with the one they are one. Using there ears they fallow the path toward the sound of water.
The sound gets louder the farther they go and they have been lucky not to see any more large spiders. The small normal sized ones scamper and run some drop dead as the webs are burned off.
The group has been moving by the dim lit glow of the stones. The soft blue lights have worked well and as they get to the end of this path where the cave walls spread out in to a small room they can hear water the water clearly.
We meet up with are group as they exit the cave path in to the space where the sound is coming from.
Out of Game:
Over all walking time about 10 minutes.
I need Spot checks from Elrik and Alixander only! As, they are in the front most of the group.

Elrik you gather from looking over the broach, that it is magical. You don't know what it dose but you can tell it has a spell cast on it. You can also tell it is not active.
You spot the runes before steeping on them and stop the party's advancement before anyone crosses over them. You inspect them and identify it is a magical circle with a spell on it that would activate after being crossed over. You also note that there is 2 spells on it, and that the runes are alternated as so the spells work together. This is a complex level of magic something you had reads about but never thought you would see with your oun eyes. You recognize one of the 2 spells to be of divine magic.
