The Game Master says...

As Seth uses his comm static returns followed by a distant voice and then finally,

"This is base where have you been! We have been trying to make contact with you for a very long time over."

Meanwhile...

Gault starts looking at the plant life in the immediate vicinity to see if any of it is familiar or edible.

GM: On your next action please roll a D20 using the embedded dice vs. Your Soul. A number over your Soul is a fail.

All the while...

Artemis decides to use her comm and the base registers your person and congratulates you on linking up with Seth. The operator is not interested in your chit chat and quickly cuts you off with mission details,

"You are to move from Sector C3 and go to Sector C4 to team up with two other assets over."

Once you confirm the operator simply says, "Over, out."

Around this time in a different location...

Uhura and Major try their comm and it works fine. Base informs you to stay where you are for a link up with a secondary team.

GM: Say what you wish to do now. Note, I only need the action, no in character stuff unless it is relevant to an NPC but that will still be a specific action.

The Game Master says...

Gault finds nothing edible.

Atemis and Seth move forwards towards sector C4. One noticeable thing is the trek is not an easy one and movement is slow because of the amount of overgrowth around. In fact, it can be downright dangerous at times as a misstep can result in a fall, trip or bite by an unusual animal / insect.

GM: I assume that Gault follows?

Meanwhile...

Uhura sees that the village is rather open with no fortifications or walls, it would be easy to enter however it is rather busy with people moving up and down and given your current dress you would be spotted easily.

Major ascertains that the natives will be no match for bullets but their possible poison chemical could mean instant death were they to hit at anytime, it is a high risk like playing with a black cobra.

GM: Group B should make a roll against Body on the next action. Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Gault, a physically feeble man, missteps during the trek, hits Seth and takes a nasty fall right on a patch of red army ants but he only notices the bites as they make their way to his skin in numbers.

Seth in the mean time tries to prevent the fall but is no more fortunate than Gault who presses him into the red army patch as well.

Both Gault and Seth find themselves trying to rub away the unusual burn that these ants have given them - it is almost entirely distracting!

Artemis, wishing that she could find a stream, instead looks on in amazement at the stream of ants that her two new friends have uncovered.

GM: Gault and Seth -1HP.

Meanwhile...

Uhura tries to engage the natives in talk but at the moment they are not interested as their focus is on the celebrations.

Major gets confirmation on his location and to await further instructions.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Group A makes whatever observations they can.

Meanwhile...

Group B attempts to reconcile the last catastrophe with an elaborate number of measures some of which resemble that of old time comedies, however you do press on and find yourselves all the more careful about where you put your blind feet.

After the space of an hour you pause just for a bit when you hear movement up ahead. The sound resembles that of someone stepping on twigs and moving aside leaves.

GM: I only need actions from Group B for now. Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Group B attempts to hide and they are successful as what seems to be young native warriors appear from the bushes with their heads not turned to you.

They are carefully looking for something within the thick jungle ground as they part the heavy bushes with their primitive spears and cutlasses. You feel they have not seen you as yet but they will soon based on their current direction towards your position.

GM: Say what you wish to do now. Note: I only need one action per Scenario entry.

The Game Master says...

GM: Two days time limit has reached and no moves for Gault so we move on.

While Artemis has a combat maneuver in mind Seth stands up purposely making a sound to alert the young warriors of his presence.

The warriors stop, open their eyes and then shout out something at you while pointing their weapons in your direction. Your translation device picks up and describes their being startled at your presence.

"Who are you, what are you doing there?" they ask with anticipation of your next move.

Just then Gault also stands up rather slowly thus causing the warriors to become more startled about how many of you are in the bushes. While trying to stand still Gault notices a multi-colored spider is near to him perched on a stick. Its eyes are very much in tune with your presence.

The warriors then say, "How many, how many?"

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

After Gault's eyes rest on the spider instead of staying as still as possible he decides its the right time to move and starts looking for a pot from his pack.

GM: How does the spider react to that - On Gault's next action roll D20 vs Soul and one against Body just in case.. A number above your Soul is failure.

Around this time...

Seth calls out Artemis and she emerges with introductions suited for a formal gathering.

The young warriors look to see if there are more of you and then approach cautiously still looking left and right as though suspect. You can see it is a group of six of them. They get closer pointing their spears towards you and circling you as though in a hunt. You notice a strange liquid on the tip of their spears. One of them almost seems to be sniffing you as though by doing so he can tell more about you than you have revealed.

The whole thing makes you very nervous and to some level a feeling of being belittled.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Gault, who seems to be rather distracted by the presence of the warriors' weapons and looking for a pot that he doesn't notice the spider has moved from its perch to his clothing near his skin. Gault starts to ask a question of the warriors when the bite of the spider's venom races through his blood causing an instant sting, slight spasms and cry from Gault due to the pain. One warrior quickly turns around to see what happened and navigates the spider away from Gault but does not kill it. He takes something from his pouch - a sap of some sort - and applies to the sting and it almost immediately soothes.

While Seth stays still, Artemis thinks to shame the natives but the immediate reaction of Gault to his punctures and the warrior's solution makes her feel odd about wanting to say that now.

The warriors tell Gault that he will need to be taken to their village to see the shaman or he will die soon. They start to make a move in the opposite direction from whence they came but do not try to usher you to do the same.

GM: Gault -1HP, all his stats are temporarily at -1 and will go down per hour being untreated. Say what you wish to do now.
