Japan Airlines has unveiled its new midterm management plan, under which the carrier aims to take off from corporate rehabilitation into a growth trend, investing 478 billion yen in purchases of new aircraft over the next five business years. In announcing the plan, JAL said it will increase its passenger transport capacity on international routes by 25 percent over the next five business years, starting in April. The midterm plan, the first of its kind to be unveiled by the carrier since it filed for bankruptcy in 2010, sets out a blueprint for its comeback on international flight services. (Yomiuri)
