NBC will stream all London Olympic Games events live
NBCUniversal, which owns the exclusive U.S. Broadcast rights for the Games, will use nine TV channels, a website and a tablet-smartphone app to broadcast and stream the Games to viewers who can prove that they subscribe to cable service. Ref. Source 1
The opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympic Summer Games in London has begun.
The ceremony won't be televised live in the United States, but you can follow the festivities at CNN.com.
Some 10,500 athletes representing 204 countries will compete for 302 gold medals through August 12.

Seven young athletes representing Britain's hopes for the future lit the Olympic cauldron at the opening ceremony of the London Games. British Olympic hero Steve Redgrave carried the torch into the stadium -- its final stop after a journey around the country. The United States won two Olympic swimming gold medals on Monday, with teen Missy Franklin taking the women's 100-meter backstroke and Matt Grevers winning the men's race.
Other swimming golds went to France's Yannick Agnel in the men's 200-meter freestyle and 15-year-old Lithuanian Ruta Meilutyte in the women's 100-meter breaststroke.

USA men gymnasts flop in final
China took the gold as the USA finished a dismal fifth after being first in qualifying on Saturday. Great Britain originally was posted as the silver medalist, its first gymnastics team medal in 100 years, but Japan filed an inquiry and the medal order was changed, giving Japan the silver and Britain the bronze. U.S. Women roll to team gymnastics gold
It was the USA's first team gold since the group known as the Magnificent Seven won in Atlanta in 1996. Russia came in second, followed by China. Ref. USAToday
