Iowa Casino Bets on Minnesotans

Gambling is legal in Minnesota and Iowa's new Diamond Jo casino is banking on a big turnout from us Minnesotans. In fact, commercials have been airing constantly here in Minnesota, letting everyone know the casino is open for business. The county this casino was opened in is also struggling financially, so the hope is that it helps bring their finances back in the black.

I have to say that through all my travels around the world and back I keep coming back to Iowa. I think the midwest is a nice place to live and raise a family. I do not mind traveling and seeing other sites but thus far I have not felt the need to live there.

Four people were killed when a tornado struck a Boy Scout camp in western Iowa, a state safety official says.

That was sad to hear 40 people were injured if I remember correctly. This year is a killer year for tornados. I believe in the US we are in record territory for number of tornados this year.

I am glad that they have caught this guy. I hope that any of the scams he did are paid back in full. I hope more scammers are caught and put into jail with no internet connection.
