Something else to consider in this is that Neo has been searching for the answer to the question for a while. He just found the person he has been looking for in all his free time, Morpheus. He should that the question that plagued his mind was "What is the Matrix?" which means he is serious about finding out the answer. So if I were in the exact same situation has Neo, could I even think about choosing different? If I was told that the answer to everything I had wondered was behind taking the red pill. Sorry to say, I wouldn't hesitate to take the red pill. How could I?

From Neo's position there wasn't really an option. He have heard of Morpheus and remember Neo wanted to meet him for a long time. He was the man who was considered the expert on the matrix. The matrix at that time was something that hackers spoke of. If the man you have been looking for, finds you and offers an explanation about the mysterious Matrix, wouldn't you take it? Yes you would and remember as some have said before, the agents wasn't really charming were they?
