Dror Introduction

Chai, y'all!

My (screen) name is Dror. It means 'sparrow' in Hebrew, and also means 'freedom,' because they say sparrows do not thrive in captivity. I chose the name first because it reminds me of God's love, for He notices when even a little sparrow falls, and each of us is more important than many sparrows. I also like freedom (duh!).

I am a returned missionary, served in the France Paris Mission many years ago, when it included such places as Bordeaux (one of my cities) and Toulouse (not one of my cities). I am married. I currently work in retail (much to my surprise!).

I look forward to talking with you and getting to know you all.

Welcome LDS Member

Thanks for posting your introduction message, this forum allows you to interact positively with many people on varying topics such as LDS Church news, Doctrine, the Book of Mormon, etc. The next thing you should do now is update your profile. You can do this by clicking the link called, 'My Controls' in the top menu. You may wish to venture over to the LDS Deep Doctrine board or the News & RM Section and have a look around.

Hi Dror. I had to erase your post about abortion in the activism page because you are expressing your view as Latter-Day Saint. Keep in mind that lots of members of the community are not LDS so we keep our religious opinions in the Religious board and LDS board, in the rest we just speak in general terms. Thanks for your understanding.

Update: This is the second time I erase your same message. Please follow the rules and instructions. Thanks.

Introduction Dror

My apologies, LDS_forever. I was under the impression the entire site was LDS! Thanks for letting me know. So, basically it's ok to express the views I did, but just leave out the LDS references? Simply state them in philosophical terms, or just as my opinion? Thanks!

Introduction Dror

Welcome to the Community. This is in fact an International Community, but the active members tend to be LDS and or Christian so many conceive it that way, but LDS views or in other words, references to LDS Doctrine should be kept within the LDS Boards. Of course you could share your view anywhere, just leave out the theological aspects.

On another note, I have been enjoying your posts. You may wish to select and avatar to give you some identity as well as check out certain threads about France in which you may be able to give your view:

Check these:

Lastly, may I suggest you read the post about Constructive posting, as you cannot ask support issues in any topic save here, but if you read the thread about Constructive posting you will understand how things operate. All the best.

This site is confusing! I guess because there is so much here--I'm more used to smaller sites, that are more single-theme-oriented. Ok, I'll check out the thread on constructive posts.

Did I hear "France?!" I love France! I'll check that out, too.

This site is confusing!

That is because you did not take the time to read what the site was about before registering, had you done so you would have understood the concept.
