LDS_forever, to be honest I love the nature of my country. All the hills and valleys plus the "fjords" really beautifies the landscape. Since Norway is a fairly long and narrow country weather conditions are very different between south Norway and north. Up north winter can be really harsh and down south and on the west coast they barely have snow. The good thing about snowy winters is that spring time is so beautiful. You can see how the flowers and green leaves grow and every thing becomes intensely green.
I would also claim that we do have a pretty good welfare system in Norway, but on the other hand taxes are fairly high.
As to the people of Norway I think the greatest thorn in its side is something we call "janteloven". In english that would be something like the principle of "just who do you think you are?" I don't feel racism is such a big issue. Of course you find racists here as everywhere else. However, I feel our public authorities take good care of it. I think the problem is biggest among older people, though. If you're thinking about Norwegians' feelings towards arabic foreigners I don't think that's a bigger problem here than everywhere else. (Do you have a link to that BBC report?)

LDS_forever, I looked at the link below and I must say it is embarrassing to read. The article mentions possible reasons, mainly because immigration is a fairly new thing in Norway. The text also says something about Norwegians being satisfied with their lives and don't want any changes. That is definitely evident when the missionaries are trying to share the Gospel too...
By the way, the picture in the middle of the article shows the street where I first met the missionaries in 1993....

Hi, JB!
I just met Tommy Herheim in the Temple. He mentioned he had looked at the community site, and he thought he had registered too. Have you heard from him?
