Syndrome Fatigue Chronic

I could have told the experts this years ago. I have seen first hand what a debilitating illness this really is, and have had to watch whilst a relative of mine has suffered with CFS for years.
People don't realize the affect that this illness has on a person, and when it gets hold of you, it can actually make you bed ridden, and in awful pain that doesn't go away.

It doesn't help that for years it was dubbed 'yuppy flu', which people tended to imply that only the rich or lazy suffered with this illness and implied that it was an exageration of how well they really were.
Possibly as in all illnesses there are a few people who jump on the bandwagon, but it really hindered the help that was to be found for the genuine cases whose lives it has changed forever.

Chronic fatigue syndrome is in your gut, not your head

Physicians have been mystified by chronic fatigue syndrome, a condition where normal exertion leads to debilitating fatigue that isn't alleviated by rest. There are no known triggers, and diagnosis requires lengthy tests administered by an expert. Now, for the first time, researchers report they have identified biological markers of the disease in gut bacteria and inflammatory microbial agents in the blood. Ref. Source 5v.

If its not simply 'being lazy' and the cause is the gut then could it relate to bad eating habits and a lack of exercise that develops a condition? Its like coronary heart disease, its not in your head, but it is built up through years of bad eating and lack of exercise. I'm just saying that because its not in your head doesn't mean you have to leave it that way because the choice of how you will 'fix' it is in your head. wink.gif.

Characteristic chemical signature for chronic fatigue syndrome identified

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a mysterious and maddening condition, with no cure or known cause. But researchers, using a variety of techniques to identify and assess targeted metabolites in blood plasma, have identified a characteristic chemical signature for the debilitating ailment and an unexpected underlying biology: It is similar to the state of dauer, and other hypometabolic syndromes like caloric restriction, diapause and hibernation.
