I wonder why the captain and first mate were taken into custody. Makes one wonder about it all. I would hope that boat traffic was safe on this river but I guess not. I wonder if this will hurt their tourism on the river?

I am guessing they were either intoxicated or negligent in their duties. River traffic moves VERY slowly. You don't just crash into a bridge or another boat if you are paying attention and have your wits about you.
