The Venezuelan president has accused the U.S. Of trying to usurp his country's oil riches after the head of the Washington-based Organization of American States (OAS) suggested a special meeting that could lead to Venezuela's suspension from the group. Ref. Source 5c.
Venezuela's Right Wing Wants to Impeach President Maduro:
Venezuela's right-wing opposition-led National Assembly said Sunday they will move on impeaching President Nicolas Maduro for purportedly 'violating democracy,' in the wake of a nixed recall referendum against Maduro. Ref. Source 1n.
They've done this a dozen times before what makes them feel they can win if everything is rigged to ensure Maduro stays in power. With all that is going on in Venezuela I'm amazed the military hasn't taken over the country.
