Introduction Raya

Your last post was deleted for not being constructive, based on one or more of the following:

1. Stay on the topic, see our Constructive Posting Policy
2. Ensure that you use good English, no slang, proper spelling, uppercase letters where necessary, etc.
3. Do not post just off topic messages or lengthy quotes, only Bots may do this, Members must add input.
4. Make sure that you are not just trying to increase your post count, but also add worthwhile replies that are related to the Topic.

Introduction Raya

In someone's Intro Thread you said:

QUOTE (Raya)
Sometimes they bring up good topics that I would like to bite into but I cannot reply. But on the whole the site is good...

Why do you say you cannot reply?

If a non-religious topic is posted in a religious board I am unable to reply because it was posted in a religious board. And a religious topic cannot be posted in a general board. (advise if I am incorrect ) Plus I feel that I have to be guarded in what I say because the high posters have similar view points and at times they do not seem to be very acceptable to other views.

In no way am I trying to offend or put anyone on the defensive. This is just an opinion formed by me.

Raya Introduction

I appreciate you for getting back to me.

It is a very simple equation really:

Religious based Discussion = Religious Boards only.

Non-Religious based Discussion = Non-Religious Boards only.

Really it is the same for any Topic: They should be in the relevant Boards.

If you want to start something but are unsure then simply ask here, your Intro Thread and you will be advised accordingly.

I do not know what you mean by "high" posters but WE DO welcome disagreement and debate so long as it does not become personal or insulting. It is also constructive to have sources to say why your opinion is such and such rather than to simply disagree for the sake of doing so. Actually we have a Thread here about this in the Welcome Board called, "The Art of Discussion".

Really all of this is listed in our Constructive Posting Policy which should have been read thoroughly before joining - you may wish to review it.

This a forum-debate site. When people post on a topic, they surely must expect others to challenge their views if they do not agree with it, this is certainly not a place where everybody just agrees.

I do not know exactly what you mean by they do not seem "acceptable" of other opinions, but I can say that you are free to share your views but you cannot pretend to convince anyone of your views or expect them to agree. As JB said, once you make a claim you are expected to back it up with sources.

Please feel free to share your opinion on any thread you may wish to participate. All the best,
LDS
