I hope any one who has any question regarding any thoughts or information placed here will feel welcome to ask away.

Time is so scare any more I will never understand how JB manages to d what he does.

I did notice though JB that you have sneaked second place from me in the Arcade...I shall have to see about that perhaps I will change my name to abi halduo and save my fp for after I get 1000 posts.

On the home side though I am still fighting to finish all project by winter. Two windows left to caulk inside and paint some dry wall to tape and shelves to go into new closet. Out side one face board need replaced and a walkway to install on south side of my house. This winter perhaps new basement ceiling and floor.

hard part is I am never home any more or when I am my wife has visitors coming. I try to work till they show up then jump in shower wife hates that but at least I get something done. I suppose though in the grand scheme one day all that work will still be there in a different form but my boys will be grown up. Best I enjoy them and just get done what is required. No sense wasting my time doing more that just what is required when a great game of tag or football is to be had.

If any feel like they need an extra on their prayer list feel free to add me and my wife, specifically in the adult department. Been almost a year now since I had my first vasectomy which failed miserably, had a redo in early August so I am still out of commission till October and that is if I pass my test. It has been a long haul I think the misses is about to crack.

School is back along with the grueling hours of trying to get my oldest motivated to do the work at home. Seems of late it is work and hauling the children home is all I do.

Good news is my wife found a new job with air miles as a travel specialist. She is one month into the training and two to go. The next month is more hands on actually on the floor so that will be a nice change for her. Finally she is smiling more since my urologist gave us the green light last week.

Seems strange to be a single parent though, I get up get the boys moving and then she parts from here studies just long enough to get them to school then I do the bring them home and supper duties. This will be easier once she gets off the Noon to 8 pm shift that is used for training. Her shift will change to 4 pm to midnight I will see her just as much as now since all she is doing is studying but at least she will be more awake.

I have learned to write every thing down now that I need her to know as she can not remember any thing out side of the studying. I remember what it was like when I took some courses a few years back. It becomes consuming because you have been so long away from studying that you almost relearn that also.

The boys are getting it the hardest as they were used to her being their at they beck and call.

For me the challenge is just trying to keep the house clean and the repairs done thought I was doing well until the bearing started screaming in the front of my truck. I have the hubs off now and just need to borrow the neighbors torch and beat those bearing out. The new one are 65 each side plus the cost of getting a machine shop to press them in for me. should be better then the 170 they asked for for the whole unit. Car manufactures are just plain evil greedy people. As they told me I could not even change the bearing when the bearing clip was starring me right in the face. I say thank goodness for companies like car quest who still believe in repairing part and rebuilding them.

After a few weeks the boys seem to be adapting to the new routine well enough the squabbling has settled down and work now continues full bore. All repairs are now done to the truck including a new battery and replacing the watt linkage in the rear suspension. I could not understand why I kept hearing a clicking back there but I guess that was it.

Time to start cooking for the holidays I have been told Salsa is a must do for some Christmas gifts along with peas and rice for one family I know. Plus I need one knew complete meal from appetizer to desert for my traditional come and get it day. I love that day I get to make something new that I have never done before and every else has to eat it keep smiling!

life is very good for me right now I think I will just sit back and enjoy it before the storms blow back in.

Merry Christmas Every One! May god bless your homes and families in the coming year.

Funny I am posting this after a Christmas post where I asked god to bless every one as he sure did to me this day.

Its pushing the witching hour and I need to get rest as I fear tomorrow might be a fun as today has been.

The kind weather man called for high winds and 40 cm of snow. I though ya right we have missed every time for the last month so why would today be different. My mistake.

Last month I bought tickets to the Monster Jam show in London Ontario for today at 2:00 PM and a pit party at noon. So naturally my good luck prevailed and it actually started snowing last night not much 4 inches maybe. Cleaned that up and pack the truck winter gear for emergency and some good flares after all best to be save.

Shovel in tow we excited packed skate as they have an outdoor rink there really fun skating time. Silly me to think London would ever let me off with out a fight.

We headed out 8:30 AM it is usually a 1:45 hour drive so this gave us a good amount of spare time we hoped to fill in at the farmers market and skating. Well good old man winter had other thought like keeping us at home. We did great till we hit the halfway mark. Here the road passes miles of empty field, you guessed it blowing winds was driving the snow pretty good across the highway along with some real foolish drivers. This was all just before we entered the Stratford's cut of. So I was not caught unaware and kinda figured it might get slick. Slowing down to 60 kM the truck was gripper the snow not bad.

My son the oldest was kind and said a prayer for all we passed in the ditch while keeping score. We hit The market in London at 11:00 AM. Feeling good about my progress I note quickly my rad temp suddenly dropped of. Yea no antifreeze was my first thought. Pulling into an underground parking lot (Well I sure didn't relish the idea of curb side parking and being buried by the next plow going by.).

As I stop my son is beaming I thought he was just happy to get to go to see the show. To my surprise he pipes up dad we did good there were 12 that never made it but we did! I was in disbelief that there were that many I passed in the ditch. I thought immediately perhaps we would stay the night in London.

Seeing that we had only one hour before we had to inside we just took a quick snack at the market. The pit party was nice they enjoyed seeing the big trucks up close and person. My youngest boy has promised to by my wife one.

After the show was done the sky seemed lighter and seeing we still had 2 hours good light we jumped in and headed for home. Things were not bad still 60 kph on the big highway but plowed and sanded this was looking pretty good to me. Then 20 minutes down the rode just his side of where we hit the snow coming in to London we found it again!

But this time deeper and I could feel the rear wheels champing hard in the grit on the road. No bucking or sideways kicks so we were still pretty good shape. The wind picked up and visibility cut short fast. My youngest boy quickly decides this is a great time for a potty break! No what I really needed to hear or so I thought, after all who want to try to turn off into the snow packed off ramp. Well we see the big sign rest stop. Unfortunately we missed it as I could not tell the difference between the ditch and the off ramp. So onward we went for 30 minutes. Lucky for us he fell asleep and we made to the next stop in time. it was plowed to boot a real bonus.

Once all issue were resolved I dug the ice off my rad cleaned off all the lights ect and prepared to finish our voyage. It is now 6:00 and we are at the halfway mark and losing light fast. We left London at 4.

Before I go on I will pop back to the start of our day my father in law called and when he found out what we were up to he said maan I no know bout dis. Come now let us pray. Over the phone we asked for protection and to guide us safely, at the time never thought much of it we do this very often any how.

Back to the truck stop we pull out to see two more in the ditch my son calls out number 7 and 8. He is real great to have on board if you a a nervous passenger. We see two more before finding our turn off for the 403 where I found out in the truck top things are better then the 401. With a sense of relieve we turn off following an old red chevy half ton. He seems to be ok on the road so I hang back and roll a long with him. After all passing is not a great choice. 20 minutes down the road and about an hour left to go at the speed we have been traveling when we stop dead. A police car is off to the side about 6 cars ahead I can se two setts of lights point at me and we are on a divided highway! Fearig a major pile up I suddenly realize I had been at a half tank of gas and filled up at the last stop. Smiling widely I laugh a bit, my wife knowing I am a nutter at best looks at me. I just simply say we need to thank god and your dad, we have fresh drinks a snack, a full tank of gas and likely just advoided being in the accident that lies ahead. So if any one doubts the power of prayer feel free to use that nice testimony.

We sit for about 30minute and start moving again, we hit the scene where every one wiped out and low and behold they all had drove off! Not a bit of damage just all got turned about and need a push out. My son quickly counted the ditch marks and skid out and called it and even 14. We are still 1/3 of our tip to go.

The rest just got better less snow and smaller flakes as darkness set in. I was glad of that as large snow flacks floating in front of your headlight for a few hours on end gets very straining and mesmerizing. We only passed three more in the ditch before arriving safely home to a snow laden drive way. With a ton of energy stored from the long haul we all grabbed a shovel and cleaned out the drive way. Most of our snow had melted and now it is piled as high as it ever was this winter. But hey thats March for you.

So 17 on the way home 12 there I thank my good father for a safe journey and hope tomorrow is better as we have to be in Toronto at 9:00 AM we will leave at 7:00 in good light it is normally a 45 minute drive so should be ok. I must be off now for my 5 hour nap.

Yes we called dad as son as I got home at 8:15. four hours coming back.

Well today was much better still lots of snow on the road but well packed and not as granular. So we managed to get in with no issues. Today turned warn and sunny so by noon roads were very clean.

So march came in like a lion that means out like a lamb. Spring will soon be on us and the snow gone. Time to tune up the tiller and lawn mower and ensure all my trees are trimmed from any winter damage.

Next stop the Sugar Shack!

Been far to long since being here thanks JB for the welcome back.

Little disappointed this week had been away and returned to find my apple tree bored by bugs. Many little holes in the apples and not wasps this time. Instead looks like ants, looking about I found a hill not far into the neighbors lawn. So I will have to read up on how to get rid of them since we can not use the harsh chemicals any more.

Looking forward to next month we are taking our boys camping. Might stop in at our capital city Ottawa on the way back.

That is about it for now and great to be back here again.
