Well yesterday was fun. I spent the day getting my daughters stuff moved around in the house so she has a room to call her own. The space above the garage in which I have been remodeling is now here. IT is pretty much done but I still have to cut a window in. I will be getting the window this week or next. I will have a rough frame ready for it by the end of the weekend. She is all excited. The furniture we got for her room is very nice and she really likes it. Hopefully I will be on more today.
My wife is doing well for now. She is still in pain from extreme swelling of the legs. We had some test done with a dermatologist and we are trying to get to the underlaying problem that is causing her legs to swell. We know it has to do with the chemo but we have to find what is keeping it in her body.
I will not be here tomorrow as that is the day I have set aside to go on a college tour with my son. We are heading up to UIU to tour and get to know the campus. He has picked this college as the one he wants to go to. We hope to get answers to some of our questions when we get there. He will have his little tour as the college also takes parents on a tour of their own. We are looking forward to it. I will be here Saturday.
I have to say that the college campus that he is going to is just the kind of place he needs. It is a small campus with only about 800 students. In a town that itself is only about 800 residents. I think this is the atsmosphere that he needs. We met with a lot of people and talked to a lot of the people that are there to help the new students. We have his books ordered and his first year is all paid for. We will have to see how he does in this new setting away from home. Being 3.5Hours away will allow him to be close but away from home. IF something happens I have a good friend whop is less than a hour away. His son is going to a college that is a hour from me. So we will watch each others sons from a distance. IT is funny how all of that plays out.
My main hope is that he adjusts well and works hard to get his degree.
