ICon Pathfinder Kingmaker Stolen Land - Page 32

Out of Character: Well that stinks.

Theaton dissatisfied with not being able to find the entrance decides to camp a bit away and let everyone rest up and recover from all the fighting and damage we took. He will look for a place that can be defended easy if we need to. He will advise Jhod and Shivas to get some rest and recoup their spells as he keeps watch for a bit. He will advise Mikmek to get some rest too.

Game Master says...

Mikmek agrees, trying to shift the fault from him to the darkness, "We can't find entry because it is too dark at night."

Jhod and Shivas use their final energy channels to heal everyone 7 and 5 damage, so that all are healed, except for Jhod who is still a bit scratched up. Theaton still feels sluggish from the poison in his system (Total of 4 damage to each of Strength, Dexterity and Constitution) Jhod says he will prepare more Restoration spells, but strongly advises to go to Oleg's for safe treatment.

The night is uneventful, and Theaton's body starts recuperating (1 damage healed from each ability score).

Out of Character: Wow, this is embarrassing to forget. The XP total is:
1735 for 16 mites and one advanced mite
335 for the goblin and the alchemist
600 for 3 centipedes
800 for the Giant Whiptail centipede
800 for the Giant tick
100 for rescuing Mikmek the kobold

Which come to a grand total of 4370 experience. This number should be divided three ways between Theaton, Shivas and Jhod (Who helped Theaton survive thanks to that super useful Shield Other spell) but not Mikmek (Who hardly did any damage).
So each should receive 1457 XP.

Now that it is daylight Theaton will once again see if he can locate the back entry and head inside.

Thereon takes his time peeling away vines and branches, taking a look at what's behind them. Mikmek scrutinizes and pipes up, "You missed a spot!" Theaton checks again, and indeed there is a one inch hole in the rock face, through which cold and putrid air escapes. There is actually a wall made of loose stones made to look like the cliff face, which Theaton disassembles.

He climbs into the dark tunnel which curves to the left. Up ahead it forks, Theaton knows left is the shaman's room.

Theaton will lead everyone to the left heading towards the Shamans rooms in hopes to getting this quest finished.

Game Master says...

Mikmek watches in horror as you turn left at the fork. He shouts down the right hand corridor, "The statue is back! Tartuk will stop the curse!"

A few curious kobolds gather behind you and as you enter past the crude hanging banners into the shaman's room there are more on the opposite end, watching in awe or hope or terror.

Tartuk stands ready, his black raven perched on his shoulder and staring at the statuette intently.

Tartuk addresses you in common, "Where is the figure of Old Sharptooth? Hand it to me!" He stretches out his arms as the kobolds around stand silently in anticipation or dread.

Theaton will retrieve the statue and hand it over to Tartuk. He will watch to see what happens next.

Game Master says...

Tartuk tears the statue of the leering devil out of your hand, announcing, "Old Sharptooth is back!"

All the kobolds cheer, but Tartuk waves to quiet them. With a wicked glint in his eye, he exclaims, "He is not happy! The humans dare defile Him with their soft scale-less fingers! Kill them!"

Roll initiative!
