Inspector Alexander's name was mentioned in parliament by the National Security Minister over the Trinidad Total Policing Day as one of the people that somehow needs to be held accountable for it. The TTPS were caught by surprise by this and had hoped that issues about salary, perks and permanency for the Assistant Commissioner would have been tabled instead.

Name: George

Comments: We are now experiencing the results of not applying reasonable corporal punishment to children, and more adult murderers by not having the death penalty. If we ignore the need to discipline disobedient and wayward children by not applying some sort of corporal punishment we are asking for trouble here. Mark my word. A good example of what happens when there is no deterrent against wrong doings is reflected by politicians here failing to reintroduce the death penalty for murderers which has created an infestation of local murderers running wild randomly killing our citizens on a daily basis.

The show is not bad but they need to cut out the stale jokes and get more serious with addressing crime issues specially when their show is shorter these days.

Not to take away anything from Marlon, but I find that when he is not part of the hosting, like today, the program runs better because Inspector Alexander is more serious and there aren't these cheesy jokes that take away from the real issues.

They do that to entertain but is only themselves they entertaining some of the time. Too much smirking and inside jokes distracts from the serious issue of crime. Also when people come in and they talk about police not responding there shouldn't just be a "Sorry" There should be an investigation into why they do not respond.

What is Marlon thinking wearing that shirt? He usually dresses very sharp but this evening he looks like "One of the boys on the block".

I like when they have iinput from guests it brings added meaning to the show and the content isn't repetitive.

Today on TV6's Beyond the Tape they showed a thief who was caught trying to break into a house. Someone hog tied the thief (One foot tied to a structure) and then proceeded to beat him all about his body including his head while he begged for mercy.

I was disturbed by this show of violence. Not only because of the hour it was shown where children are still up but also because it gave an 'air of consent' for this action. The proper thing to do is tie him, fine but call the police! Citizens are NOT administers of physical justice!
