Feyra's search reveals the same clues as Basmet's. The bottom of the coffin is hollow.

Basmet steps into the coffin carefully. She tries to lie down and says, "What if you closed the lid, and the trap only springs when the coffin is opened? So it should work again if you open it with me inside."

Feyra is suprised but finds Basmet idea pretty intresting as she follow's her instructions closing the lid and then asking her if she is okey. Regardless the answer, she will then open it again.

As the lid closes above Basmet, before it's opened again, the bottom layer slides across via some sort of mechanism, silent enough to go unnoticed by the ones outside. Those can still hear Basmet falling through, though.

Basmet falls down taking 3 points of non-lethal falling damage. She has hit the rock floor of a pitch-black room. (I assume she doesn't have a torch or any light source.) She can smell the scent of embalming ichors. The air can't be felt flowing down here either.

The lid is open again by the two other heroes, but the bottom is back in its original position and Basmet is nowhere to be found.

Feyra is shocked as she shouts inside the coffin while knocking the bottom with her fist.

"Basmet! Basmet, can you hear me?!"

The bottom slab isn't thick enough to completely block the sound of Feyra's voice, which can be heard, but only slightly, muffled by the stone.

Upon seeing what happened, Charles hastens to do something about it.

"Basmet cannot hear you with that trap door closed, we must go down there! Who knows if there is danger lurking around below.".

He quickly goes inside the coffin and he tells Feyra to close the lid for the trap door to open.
