The Watcher from the Aether says... The three playing cards are in the larger room. The curtain behind the niche where a head should be allowed the characters to see into the larger room. But, to get into the larger room, where the three bandits are playing cards, you have to go north to the T intersection and take a right which you have done and now have surprise on the bandits. Thane has already shot two arrows and appears to have taken out one of the bandits.

Illthin moves into the room looking for the best armed /armored opponent who he will take on headfirst.
He keeps his shield up looking for an opportunity to bring his broadsword over top using its weight to crush his enemy.

The Watcher from the Aether says...I'm anticipating that a battle map won't be needed as Thane and Drethen have both taken one down and since you're specialized with the battle axe, you get two attacks in the first round and one attack in the second. So, if you hit on your second attack all three should be taken out on the surprise round.
