Aericsteele's Traveller - Mongoose Campaign Review - Page 7

international QUOTE
The players can become confused as to what they should be doing and how much attention they need to place on a particular scene, especially when time is being more meticulously tracked (By the hour) and then suddenly a week passes with very general actions being described.

Yeah this is true. Sometimes I wonder if I should post or not, and if so what should I post. I tend to lean towards the "Just post" mentality in most cases.

international QUOTE
I opted for more detailed financial management mostly in an attempt to give the feel of a crew struggling to make ends meat each month and being forced to plan their operations accordingly

I couldn't agree more. In our tabletop game, I am looking to push the players to do the same. In the opening arc of the campaign is more story driven with a lot more direction from me as we got used to the basic mechanics. It definitely gives us a bit more investment into the ship, not merely as a plot device, but also as our home and means of livelihood.

I guess one last response in agreement is that the Questions and Support thread has indeed become more active and definitely a great resource for deciding when to move things along in the narration and to metagame.

Aericsteele, how is your Traveller Role-playing Game going, the main Thread seems dormant and I haven't seen serious activity there for awhile?

The game is sort of on haitus for a little bit as we discuss the next chapter/episode. The first part of August saw some busy schedules among the players as well myself but it should be getting started back up soon, hopefully before the week is out.

I'm still working 14 hour days, 7 days a week. School holidays are my busy time.Hopefully I'll be back to normal in a week. Sorry, but there is no chance of putting together a long post at the moment - a couple of sentences is my August/early September speed. Looking forward to taking part again when time allows (If you'll have me).

What's the status of this Role-playing Game? I have been monitoring it for awhile and it seems very slow moving. The last update was almost 5 days ago and when Players do participate there is a 2 day gap in between.
