We need to change our security policies to give flexibility but maintain the greater means for control.

I am seeing the gun companies, sellers, and lobbyists targeting this as a major win.

The LGBT community will be using this as a hate crime to up their standing in the Orlando community and pushing for more equality.
I could see an LGBT activist saying something like this, "Look it wasn't a straight bar that was all shot up. It was one of ours, a minority establishment. We never did anything to anybody. We need more rights and more protection and we need to be treated as equals with the straight community."

As the assailant is unable to answer questions at this time, motive will be speculative at best, and a far cry from accurate by the time investigation ends.

Any good that comes from this, will be a few weeks or months from showing up.

Motive has already been established. While committing the crime he was on the phone with police and said he represented ISIS. He was also interviewed twice before on suspicion of terrorist activity. His father also admits to him seeing two gay men kissing and being absolutely enraged over it. So as Pres. Obama said it is a terrorist act and a hate crime.

First wife describes him as abusive and violent. Other descriptions include short tempered. His parents do not consider him particularly religious. It could be that he tripped and used the whole ISIS thing to go berserk. Noor Salman, his last wife until his death isn't saying anything. She must have known something.

There was a similar case in Indiana of a guy loaded with weapons was on his way to Gay Pride parade! Police stopped him, so they're looking to see if it was supposed to be some kind of coordinated attack between him and this one in Florida.

Authorities are saying they have not found a connection yet but its too much of a coincidence to not be connected somehow. The LGBT community has already started raising funds and trying to help those who will be in grief. This is all a mess.

The FBI and whomever else that investigated this man have some to blame in this. If they interviewed him twice and had enough reason to think he was a terrorist then why didn't they use all those snooping techniques to track him?

A lot of blame will go around but I think everyone did their part. They cannot operate outside the law and proof is needed to charge someone with a crime. The ones that are highly suspect now are the terrorist's wife and parents.

A sad twist to this case that is now being revealed - the Orlando officers that may have been trying to save the hostages actually might have shot (Killed) some of them in an effort to rescue those held against their will.
