Corren said, "Right, let's continue on. As we head back, there's a turn to the right, er, north up ahead. We'll go down that way. Once again, I'll take point." A torch in one hand the rogue began to move down the hall, wary of sounds or signs of danger.
Taking a cursory look at the ruby, it looks to be genuine ruby and by itself worth at least 100gp if not more. You suffer no ill effects in the chamber though a faint smell of mustard lingers in the air and tickles your lungs, it causes no significant negative effects as it has dissipated sufficiently. Following the path Corren plans takes you along a corridor that ends with a door on the right and on the left.
Corren finds no traps on these doors though both were locked he is easily able to pick the locks. I am assuming based on the post that Corren did not actually open either door, only unlocked them, correct?
I was waiting to see how the lockpick rolls went. In this case, since both are now unlocked, he will open the left one first, but not enter. Just look in, make sure nothing comes charging out, then the same to the right. Once we look around both rooms, then we will decide where to explore further.
