Bar Fight - Page 3

The Game Master says...

As the remaining maidens in the party you decide to make something of a good pursuance of the lads in the party, but in so doing you become jerked in thought for behind you comes such a ruckus, and commotion so as to awaken the dead from sound sleep.

You spin around to see what looks like a drunkard barbarian type male standing at the southern door. The night sky behind his wide muscular body you see him raise a large wooden mug to his mouth, gulp down what is probably ale in one gulp, and then excrete a wet burp that is as noisy as the yapping stray dogs in the market.

"Where is she? Where is she?", he barbarian yells in anger and then hiccups.

He steps forward into the light of the tavern and notices the two of you (Daphne and Ewegene) sitting at the table now ready to get up. Upon the seeing of you both he tries to make himself rather pleasant for whatever that is worth, but then without a second thought he looks over at the barkeep and asks again...

"Where is she?"

GM: Say what you will do now.

Fight Bar

The Game Master says...

Egwene and Daphne pause and turn toward the commotion at the door. Egwene says to Daphne,

"Oh Great! I think trouble is a-stirring. You wait here and distract the brute if necessary whilst I go drag the men away from those wenches before there is REAL trouble. I get a feeling we will be needing their warrior skills before this night is through."

As Egwene makes her way to the stairs a rather full bodied wench with a mean looking temperament blocks her path at the stairs and says,

"Well what have we here?"

At the same time she places her hand on her hip and stands with authority. She looks to be the madame of the upstairs, and she is not fond of you or where you intend to go.

Meanwhile...

Daphne turns and watches the barbarian with a hand on the hilt of her sword.

The Barbarian, now near to the barkeep, takes him by the scruff and lifts him in the air with one hand with no strain at all while repeating himself,

"Where is she?"

Before the shaking barkeep can answer the barbarian takes a jug of ale on the counter with his free hand, and gulps it down with no remorse.

GM: Say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

Egwene turns and moves halfway across the room from where she shouts toward the raging barbarian,

"Are ye looking for the fair maiden that serves the ale? Perhaps I can enlighten you on where she might be at the moment."

Upon hearing this enlightening news from Egwene, the hulking man releases his grip on the barkeep sending him to the floor like a sack of potatoes. The madame that was at the entrance to upstairs rushes over to aide the barkeep.

The barbarian comes over with a rather cunning smile and asks,

"Where be she small one?"

You find it odd that he would call you "small one" but he literally almost twice your height and four of you wide. His very arms would dwarf the younger trees in the woods.

GM: Say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

"I'll tend to her soon enough"

The man then places his large palm on the wall behind you and mostly blocks your path from any direction. With ale filled breath he replies, says...

"Ye be lucky tonight las, I have a feelin' we be in for a good time"

He then has a smirk on his face that makes you very uncomfortable.

GM: Say what you will do now, also what Daphne will do at the same time.

Fight Bar

The Game Master says...

GM: We seem to be lagging again, so the story continues...

Egwene is gripped with fear and cannot move as the barbarian gently strokes her cheek as one would a familiar.

Everyone has returned to normal not even bothering with you when another man with similar stature and ways comes barging into the tavern. You are quite surprised by comeliness of this man who looks almost identical to the one now blocking Egwene. Your fears are confirmed when he looks to the part of the tavern you are at and says,

"Brother! What have ye be there that hidden... under thy arm... for... I..."

You can tell that ale is common with these two as he slurs with his words and drifts over to Daphne.

GM: As with Egwene, Daphe rolls in bar fight dice. You roll against soul with a modifier of -2. A number OVER your soul is favorable. Only LDS_forver may reply in the next Party Order as everyone is engaged. Also report the number rolled.

Bar Fight

The Game Master says...

He looks over at Daphne and then without a thought heads for the stairs.

Daphne, not feeling there is much for her here today decides to depart while the going is easy.

Meanwhile...

The barbarian, noticing Egwene's nerves are on edge asks,

"How bout' a bit of wine to loosen ye limbs?"

Without waiting for an answer he calls over to a wench to bring wine quickly.

The wench after what seems to be less than half a minute hurries over with the wine and gives it to the barbarian.

The barbarian then looks at you and says in a very authoritative way,

"Take it an drink up now..."

GM: Daphne is out of this game. Say what you will do now, only Alskann may post Party Order.

The Game Master says...

Egwene coughs at the stench of the barbarian's breath, looks at the bottle being shoved at her and grimaces. Following the other brute heading up the stairs with her eyes she says,

"Thanks but no thanks, I've no need for more ale, or anything else. Me thinks your brother is after yer woman. Don't ya think the time be better spent protecting what is already yours?"

GM: Roll 'Bar Fight' against body +5 If you roll over your body you cannot escape.

The Game Master says...

Egwene, tries to wiggle herself out of a tough situation but fails, the sheer size of the barbarian is like a wall of rock. Seeing her dislike for him the barbarian responds,

"What's the matter little one, such a one as myself makes thee shy?"

Meanwhile...

The acclaimed brother ventures upstairs. After a bit of silence you can hear rumbling and noises that sound like furniture is being moved around, or thrown around.

GM: Let's see who gets picked on first. Krakyn and KNtoran roll 'Bar Fight' for who has the highest number. In the case of you both getting the same number then soul will act as a modifier. The one with the higher roll will have the following happen to him so respond with a Party Order reply:

The barbarian breaks open the door to your tiny closet like room of the upstairs tavern. You are caught almost fully naked with a wench quite the same. Your equipment is to one side of the room near to where the angry large man now stands. You almost laugh at the surprise, but quickly come to a realization of the predicament you are in as a splinter of wood hits you in the face.

GM: OK, let's see how this goes.
