Lia listens to the others and nods. She shakes her head when Sar'ai expresses that she doesn't have a high value of life. " Sune values all life. These ... Butchers took many innocent lives. Life calls for life. You have authority here Sor Onthar as judge and executioner. I have no issue with them being executed. They commited these acts of their own free will. "
Having said that she walks away. She takes out her mirror, comb and perfume. Lia does her normal morning routine preparing for the day. It is unseemly to not look ones best at all times. She applies perfume at the end and then prays to Sune for blessings upon their travel through the day. Lia knows that today could be a much more difficult day than yesterday. She puts away her items and mounts her horse, refreshed for the day.

"I say we give then swift justice," came a familiar yet stern voice, Geoffroy having finally joined the others and hearing what was being discussed. His squire was nearby, standing quietly by his side with the two servants.
Considering his companions, as well Sir Onthar, meeting their gaze before explaining his thoughts, "It would be a burden if we took them with us, and then we also risk others getting hurt. More we can't send them off elsewhere to be charged for their crimes and banditry, or they may escape."
The Morninglord sighs before finishing, "They brought so much suffering, pain and death. It will be a mercy giving them a death that is swift." Geoffroy's decision may seem suprising, but he was thinking of those in mourning and who had lost those they cared about.

Poljen simply shrugs at Sar'ai's remark. "They knew the risks when they joined in banditry. So unless one of them can lead us to this camp in the mountains, they are of no further use. If Sir Onthar needs help with executing them, I am willing. But I know some groups have, er, pro-toe-calls, and he might need to use Lord's Alliance men or women to do it."
Having spent time fiddling, Sar'ai found a particular twist to the lock on the chest. With a fresh mind and that knowledge on hand, she makes another attempt to tease it open. It finally gives way.
Inside are: Several sets of clothing, all of fine make and moderately suited at best for life in a place like this. A leather scroll case containing 3 tightly rolled parchments (On inspection, they're one scroll each of Protection against Evil and Good, Animate Dead, and Teleport) One slightly dented spyglass. A flat box enclosing a collection of low to mid quality gemstones. The tooth of some very large predator, there's an arcane glyph of some kind inscribed on it.
At the meeting, Sir Onthar says, "We asked about the camp and the reasons behind this blockade, but they seem to know little of use about the greater threat. They were simply paid to shut up and kill. As dangerous as it might have been to keep him alive, I suspect the Mage Linn is the only one who could have answered the important questions. Unfortunately it is too late for that."
Poljen then says, "Then go ahead. If you or your men need assistance, I stand ready." Poljen wants to see how Sir Onthar handles the executions. Was he a man who would order others to do it? Would he perform at least one himself? These are indications of the kind of leader a man is.
Onwen takes no position on whether or not the bandits should be execute, he simply stands by the others leaning on his staff and listening to each of his comrades responses. If any insists that he give his input he would indicate that he supports whatever decision is held by the majority of his party which in this case appears to be to forego any type of trial for the bandits and to proceed to execution.
Despite the rod that he took off of the mage's body being enchanted Onwen actually shows little real interest in it; if Sarai does not accept it then he will keep it tucked into his belt beneath his robes. Onwen takes the mages robe and looks it over for a time trying to decide what to do with it. Finally he uses his silver dagger to cut a square of fabric from it approximately 1' x 1' then throws the remaining robe into the campfire. Onwen carefully folds the patch of cloth and places into a pouch in his backpack.
He had spent his down time pouring over his spell book and regaining his arcane strength, he will prepare the following spells: False Life; Sleep; Mage Armor; Magic Missile; Detect Magic; Gentle Repose; Darkvision; Web.
"Interesting" Onwen mutters when he finds the items in the robe he studies both items for a moment though he pays particular attention to the silk fabric and the design that is on it. He tries to think on whether he has ever seen such a depiction before. He places the key and the fabric into his pack and decides to present them to the rest of the party the next morning. He will do so once all the members of the Blaze are gathered together. If he does know anything about the image on the fabric he will inform the others. Presenting the key he would say "This was in the mages robe… probably to some form of chest or something. Did the mage have any type of locked chest in his tent?"
Out of Character: : I'm not sure what kind of check you want, if any, for Onwen to gain information about the image I will roll a basic intelligence check; if the skill is Arcana, History, or Investigation he would gain an additional +2 to the roll.
