I thought it was being asked I make sure to mention Lia, that way Geoffroy s confirmed to be with the group ir something to the effect when I replied. How large is the group observing us? If it is small, we can go after them, and at a minimum drive them off. But I am sure the group that rode off is beyond our reach.

The only problem is that they are mounted. If we attack them there is nothing stopping them from just riding circles around us. We can't reach out far in the darkness with ranged weapons or spells.

Can they see the back door or are they just looking at our rear guard? If all they see is our rear guard they can chase them off and then high tail it back and into the cave. If they can see the cave we will have a serious issue.
