Ooh, good call Kyrroeth. More Lia / Velon synergy. (Laugh)
It looks like a Hold Person user should pair with a Divination Wizard who rolled a low Portent dice. Auto-paralyze on a powerful enemy (Unless immune?) for one, maybe two rounds.
Wizard, School of Divination Portent Feature.
After each long rest, roll two 2d20. Record the results. Then throughout the day, you can expend each result to make that be the outcome of any one attack roll, saving throw, or ability check for you or any creature you can see.

To Kyrroeth's point about all dice (Just not modifiers) being rolled twice, it seems like a Paladin could abuse that by waiting to [Critical Hit] before declaring a Smite use. They at least get to see if they've hit before burning the slot for Smite, I know. Perhaps they have to, or should have to, declare ahead of time that they will Smite at level X if they hit to avoid this.
Not sure what the intended rules are on that, or exactly what our Dungeon Master would rule. Generally I just declare that I'll smite upon hit before seeing if I hit since we roll our attacks and damage all at once here.
If someone can dose Poljen with some healing, he will go racing for the edge of the platform hole.
Daishain, I have been in some games where pouring a potion down someone's throat takes an action, but drinking one yourself can be done as a bonus action. Maybe I am missing it but I can't find if you have a home rule on such a thing.
Ky, apologies to you and Lia. I only intended to steal the broom for the one turn to get mr heavy pants down. It is my understanding that if you have the "Broom of flying" I read about when I google it that Lia can call it back to her at any time. (I only called it to Velon a second time in case he needed to race up and save Lia from the grapple figuring it was no further from her if she chose to call it.)
Thanks I may need to look up which classes get a slow fall or fly spell!
