There's not much else I can offer at present, just the last chunk of mithral, or possibly something made from it.
Is there anything else I could do for him? Paying him with coin would take up half of what we have, which I don't think fair to the others.

He does not want your money keep it. He will ask for something else in exchange. You all will be compensated for doing the scouting of the surrounding area. He will at a later time see that you have something that could be useful to the well being of the strong hold then he will ask you trade it to him. Does that make sense?

Right, so I am just ignoring that the skill and spell slot storing abilities of Item Familiar feat exist. With your permission, I'd like to just add the extra xp straight into my crafting reserve pool. That's what I wanted the feat for, and doing it that way keeps me on the same page as the others.
