I've stopped playing for a couple of reasons. One is that it's not really my style of gaming. If all I wanted to do was grind levels, I'd play WoW or something. Secondly is that there is little forgiveness in the system. Once you've chosen an action, your options are limited, including trying to escape a bad situation. I didn't have a lot of luck with general use of the game, and the Palace had me stuck in the tunnels for so long I actually gained two full levels! One time earlier, I was stuck for three days in the tunnels and died, which apparently isn't normal. So, I'm not playing any further.
Hi Gknightbc, what you wrote about ROK 2 reminded me of something admin detailed before. Regardless of if you want to play it again or not reading the following link may better explain how many players approach the game and what ROK 2 is about: Winners & Losers In Ruler Of Kings II.
Just an For your information for those who care - I've started a new job that is happily busier than my previous, and pays better, but my posting times will have to be fewer. This means that I will be posting typically early morning PST, or later afternoons. It shouldn't prevent any regular game activities, but I'll be a bit less prolific. :D.
