I believe that the US government is now starting to feel what a lot of families are feeling as they decide what is more important to them. Food on the table of pay for our home. I think with the jobless numbers going up again there is going to be more homes that are in trouble.

Short Term Stimulus: Not the Answer to Housing Woes

I guess for some the extension of the tax credit is a meaningful gift. First time homebuyers, realtors and builders will benefit from this political noise. However what is it's benefit on the long-term sustainable impact to the national housing crisis? Ref. Source 3

It's tough out there. My aunt lost her house because she couldn't longer afford her expensive mortgage and like her thousands of good Americans are losing their homes.

It is hard to see what the government is calling a turn around as you hear about more and more people losing their home. I think a real change is needed in the government and so far we have yet to see it. I would hope more of the sheeple start to see it but they are too busy believing everything the media is feeding them about how well we all are doing now.

If the government has billions of dollars to bail out the bank. It should be able to spring some money for shelters. In my home town there is no permanent homeless shelter. In the bigger cities the shelters are full of some pretty shady guys. Meaning it isn't really safe there for homeless people that no one cares about. They are easy targets for bullies and such.

I suppose my issue is, if more and more people are going to be homeless. There should be some sort of way to separate the ones who just want to call trouble and the ones who really need help. Perhaps a point system, were those who frequently break the rules are not allowed for a period of time.

I don't see hunger as a huge problem. I hear that people are going hungry but, every were I have been there are facilities set up to distribute food once or twice a day. Usually you can bring extra bread with you when you leave. I suppose it isn't the greatest meal of your life but I hardly consider it starving.

Once you fall it is important there is some sort of program to lift you back up. If you get stuck in that rut for to long you can start to feel like there is nothing else. It is a certain kind of humble that once you are humbled to a certain degree for a period of time, you can loose hope. If the American people in this situation loose hope in their future and faith in their country. We can expect to see a branching out of crime into all sorts of areas.
