Melony Mutou Introduction

Hey there for those who are interested, I'm Melony Mutou. I'm interested mostly in roleplaying -- main reason why I came, after all. I've always been a very intense roleplayer, but up until probably four years ago I dropped out of the general roleplay areas - mostly forums - and began private roleplays in instant messangers with my closest friends. So for about four or five years I haven't been any of these kinds of forums, but I'm not new to it by any stretch. Of course this site does confuse me a tad - I'd like to start roleplaying in Love & Life Bytes, but I don't exactly understand the terms so it'd be nice if someone would help me out with that. I have to post 30 times in other boards? Yeah if someone could help me out with that it'd be great.

I'm greatly looking forward to being part of this community, to my friends I'm known as a pretty good roleplayer, but up until now I've never really gotten involved in the life or fantasy roleplays, only anime. But I've always been interested in trying one of these out and now I am. I hope to make lots of new friends and have some fun, if you all would let me.

To my friends I'm very creative, I'm more of a dog person, but I'm also very lazy. But when I put my mind to something I'm amazingly handy - I've started helping my mother in our family store and the other night I stayed up all night cleaning and the area we work in looks amazing. I'll get random urges to do things and if I really have my mind to it, I'll usually do them and succeed with flying colors. My parents say I'm a perfectionist, and that's one of the things that makes me extremely lazy - when I do something, I have to do it perfect, so it takes me hours, and in result, I never want to do anything because I'd rather do it perfect and not half-ace it than do it at all.
I dream to one day be a writer, but I'm not as good as a real writer so regardless of my hopes and dreams I highly doubt I'll ever become a professional writer, even though I'm just almost eighteen.

Every now and then, for usually a period of either months or weeks, I can fall into a slump - what I'm pretty sure at this point is a bout of depression - where I won't want to do anything. I basically sit around, mope, and roleplay with my best friend, the only person in the world I can remotely tolerate.

Despite my outgoing nature and laziness, I have a hairtrigger temper sometimes and can be very impatient, ESPECIALLY if it has to do with someone being ridiculous about a roleplay scenario - I take my roleplays VERY seriously, and if someone screws it up I can get angry VERY fast - it's one of the reasons why one of the friends I roleplay with now is always fighting with me. It's also one of the reasons why I'm trying to get back into the game and look for some new roleplaying partners, only this time I'm going for general life roleplay, not anime.

Because of my extremely pessimistic view on life, I can be an EXTREMELY creative plot maker. When it comes to something dramatic, exciting, eye-watering, conspiretic(I made a word!), head-scratching, heart-pounding, hair-raising, eye-opening, heart-string-tugging, deep and profound adventure... Leave it to me, I'm your woman!

Now, despite the fact that I am a woman... A girl still really... I pretty much only roleplay as male characters. I've always been a tomboy, and I always find that for some reason, male characters are just more fun to me. So, you can bet your money that I'm going to end up creating a male character for this roleplay.

One last thing before I go - A lot of the time... I type VERY VERY VERY LONG POSTS. So if you're not in the mood for a long roleplay, you probably shouldn't roleplay with me. My roleplay plots tend to take years to act out. Me and my friends have had a roleplay going ever since we stopped roleplaying in forums, however, the longest running plot we have so far is an Ancient Egypt plot where our characters go back in time. That one has been running since January 2006. No joke. I just reread it the other day.

Besides that tidbit, I also must inform everyone that I may be dragging my best friend into this forum - her character will end up being my character's wife, so look forward to seeing her here soon!

Introduction Mutou Melony

Greetings RPGer

We have FOUR types of RPGs here, which one are you interested in:

1. Start Now Type: For those who want to start immediately in a TURN based environment then you need to go to: Ruler of Kings or Emperor of Asia or Future Terra or Jerusalem Conquest or Lazarus or Germany 1939 and register on those. The Boards that handle Discussion for these games is located within this Community. Use the Site Map if you are unsure how to find them.

2. Integrated RPGs: This is where the Play by Post and custom script RPGs are part of the Community. Games like Matrix: Plugged, Cozyville and others considers what you do in the Community and thus it affects game play. To see a list of these check the RPG Listing page.

3. Writer's Paradise: For for those who prefer well thought out storylines via Play by Post where the players are more mature then keep reading below:
You need to make 30 Constructive Posts as a test to see how well you can participate in our Text Based Games, so get started now by selecting a Board and giving your input. After you make your 30 Posts return here to reply and request 'RPGer Status'.

4. Share Book RPG: This is the EASIEST type of text RPG to get involved in because it only takes you joining in a Thread with a current Book Scenario and giving your vote in which direction a character should move. To see current games go to the Member Wars Board.

Read --> Posting Policy | See All Boards | Site Map | FAQ | Text-RPG.com

NOTE: If you need help with any of the above choices please DO ASK detailed questions in your next Reply to this Thread. We are here to help you.

So... which RPG are you interested in?

Yes, I'm indefinitely interested in Writer's Paradise, as will be my friend when she joins - what I don't understand is the 30 post thing, where exactly must these posts be made? Anywhere around here? Because obviously I can't post in the actual rpg area - I'm mostly interested in Love & Life Bytes. I'm very excited to get started ...

It's amazing, I honestly wasn't expecting a response. Normally forums you never get responses. I can see this forum is going to be MUCH different than normal forums, which makes me excited. I may donate ... As soon as my dad pays me for the work I did the other day...

I understand. Keep in mind that your activity rate must also be at 75%+. Right now it is at 63%. We get a lot of people joining wanting to jump into the Play by Post action but lose desire because of the effort they must make to be there. I hope you do not join that legacy.

Welcome to the forum fellow RPGer. We have a few RPGs going that you can jump right into. The book RPG ran by Krakyn, the Hunger of the Wolf I think it is called. You do not have to have 30 posts to be a part of it. We are always looking for more RPGers so get your friend in here. We look forward to seeing you in all the RPGs.

Thanks! ... Yeah I'm more interested in a life and trials roleplay, but I may eventually get involved in the others ... Thanks for the invite though. I'll probably only become part of roleplaying while my friend is on, and she gets on at about six PM Pacific Standard Time, so expect me mostly around those times. I'm gonna look around and find some conversations to get involved in.
