Palestine Statehood Who Is Right? Should Palestine be its own soverign nation state? Why is the USA attempt to block this from happening? Is Israel using an apartheid system much like South Africa did where people are segregated into undesirable areas and become unable to access the basic necessities of life? Does Israel have a point that they have major security challenges against those trying to harm them? How can this be resolved or will it ever? Will there be a Palestine state?

Can you imagine! Having to conduct a war/military operation in this manner is insane. There really is no reason for their to be any civilian casualties with this procedure. Only question I have, is what happens if you don't pick up the phone?

I wonder what warnings Hamas gives before letting one of theirs off the collar.

But that doesn't make any sense. It is a tactical disadvantage because if there are militants there then the forewarning will enable them to escape and if that's the case what's the purpose of bombing the house unless its a storage area for weapons.

You got it right. Apparently, the Palestinians use personal houses for the storage of weapons and I am guessing entrances to tunnels. I am sure if it was a high valued target though, they would either wait for the person to get into a car or just blow the house up anyway. However, it does seem as though, if they believe the house is holding weapons, has other value or is a tunnel entrance, they do give this warning. It has had a significant effect apparently on the amount of casualties.

I do like Hamas's attempt at gaining something out of this folley:

Sure, give all that up and get a deal with Hamas. Even if Hamas honors it, which is somehow doubt. You only have a deal with them. There are tons enough other groups to attack Israel besides Hamas. Not to mention, sign a deal like this and it just begs for another round of attacks later to see what you can get then.

What's the morale angle though? Is it a private thing Israeli soldiers do because they don't like the tactics of the Israeli government or is it just to reduce civilian casualties?

It for the court of global public opinion. The huge amounts of casualties in the past really turned off support for how the Israelis have responded in the past. Every night you would see images on TV with grieving women who have lost their children in the bombings. Global mass media pretty much didn't care about the fact that the Palestinians were using their people as human shields...just the civilians were dying in the conflict. This pretty much shows that Israel has gone above and way beyond what would be required by any other civilized country put in the same conditon.

That is how war is... There are casualties and its even more that way in guerrilla style warfare. What is the public expecting for the jihadists to just stand out in the open and allow the Israeli army to target them. No, they run and hide in buildings WITH women and children in it. Who is really at fault, the jihadists or Israel for defending themselves. If Palestine really wants to stop this then the people there need to put an end to the plotters among them.

Exactly. Israel going the extra mile to notify the inhabitants that their house is going to be no more in plenty of time for them to get out is their counter in the war. This is specifically a play to the western media. Basically, since Cronkite questioned and showed the dead of the Tet Offensive, war in the west has had to play to media. Strangely enough, it seems to me to be responsible for making sure there has been no real victors in any of our wars since.
