Da Nang International Airport - Agent Orange and the Removal of Dioxin:
For ten years the US Air Force flew nearly 20,000 herbicide spray missions in order to destroy the forest cover as well as agricultural lands in key areas of southern Vietnam. By 1971, 12 percent of the total area of South Vietnam had been sprayed with defoliating chemicals, which were often applied at rates that were 13 times as high as the legal USDA limit. Ref. Source 8

The Vietnam war was one of the worst history. We learned a lot about how NOT to fight over there. Jungle warfare can be mean and this why agent orange was developed much to the regret of many today.
