I've a rabbit called Tammy which means tamey because she was the tamest one of the litter.
I've a cat called Streepje which means stripe, she's red with white, she had stripes all over her when she was younger but most of the stripes disapeared when she got older and she became more even red. Now she has only a few stripes on her head.
I've two rats called Elmo (from sesamestreet) and Balou (from jungle book)
When i got Balou he was only 3 weeks. Elmo was 10 weeks at the time and he was from they day the meet was like a big brother to Balou. Balou used to climb on Elmo's back to sleep there. When Balou got bigger he became the alpha.
Elmo and Balou are inseparable they are best friends forever.
I've got several animals living in my house right now. Including two parents and two siblings.
I have three cats in my house, they're all 11+ years old:
Mandy - A really beautiful grey cat that people often think is a Russian Blue, but really she's just a mix of who knows what. She's my favourite.
Cassie - A long haired black cat. Her personality isn't the best.
Cinnamon - A really *fat* calico cat.
Then there's our two dogs:
Zeke - A purebred black lab.
Katie - A cross between a border collie and a blue heeler. She's really yappy.
I'm also going to have a pet sugarglider hopefully by the end of the summer. As for pet names in the past, there's been: Alloran, Kiwi, Bart, Gizmo, Scout, Freeda, Misty, Riff, and most likely quite a few more that I'm forgetting at the moment.
Right now I have 3 cats and 1 dog. The three cats are brothers, but the oldest is 4-5 months older than his brothers. His mother walked up to our door with this little kitten in her mouth and they became part of the family, and then she got pregnant and had 5 girls and two boys. We kept the original kitten she brought to the door, a tom, and then the two boys from her next litter. The girls we found homes for and the mom ran off, which I guess was for the best since she stopped feeding her second litter shortly after she had them, so I had to start feeding them. I became the kittens Ma/Pa.
Anyway, to the names, the eldest brother at 9 months old is named Taz for the Tasmanian Devil from the old Bugs Bunny cartoons. The younger brothers at about 4 months old are named Flea and Sunny. Flea was named that because of this little black spot by his nose that looks like he has a flea there. Sunny is named that because he has the happiest disposition of any cat I've ever seen. All three cats are black and white. I also have a female Jack Russell that is 1 1/2 years old, her name is Jackie, and yes the cats and Jackie get along.
From my animal Hall of Fame:
My first and only other dog (all other dogs I've had besides Jackie have belonged to someone else in the family) was a Norweigan Elkhound named Smokie for the color of his beautiful coat. He was the most loyal of friends and the best watchdog you could ever want, but once he got to know you, he was a sweet dog. You just didn't want to cross him if you weren't supposed to be in his yard!. Smokie died about a year ago of cancer at 11 years old. I buried him in the backyard under his favorite tree with his favorite ball. I got that ball for him when he was just a pup and he would never play with any other ball. Even when the ball got old, he would gently carry it around in his mouth. I still shed a tear when I think of him, but I still carry his dog tag on my keychain.
About 6 months before Smokie died, my beautiful black Persian Cat Gruntbuggly or Grunt for short, died. She was 18 and is buried right under my window where she used to lay in the shade. She was a big fat sweet cat who loved to sit on my lap and sleep. She was named after Douglas Adams' famous book, The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. In the book, the worst poetry in the Universe is Vogon poetry, it's so bad that it one would rather eat your own arm than hear it. The stanza in the book goes like this...
Oh Freddled Gruntbuggly
by Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz
Oh freddled gruntbuggly
Thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.
Groop I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes
And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,
See if I don't!
That's how she got her name, but she should have had a name more befitting her beauty. One really funny story about when I brought Smokie home to meet Grunt is that she walked up to him, smelled him and hissed and spit at him and Smokie was so scared (he was so small at the time) that he immediately peed on the floor. Years later, the only animal that still commanded Smokie's respect was Grunt.
I miss them both so much
I have two father and son tabby cats, named Fasi and Jasi, and a black labrador retriever named Panza after a Panzer. Fasi and Jasi were names that stemmed off of the Samoan word "Kasi" for one because the mom cat was my first cat.
I used to have a rottweiler named Paris who would always tackle me whenever she smelt bagels and another great dane who had a beautiful white coat. His name was Sparky( , imagine that ^_^) and his way of greeting others was to headbutt them in the bum. They were both stolen from my yard when the rest of my family were out; I still can't believe someone would do that.

I have a golden retriever named Cody. His mother's name was Mandy and his grandmothers name was Co-Co so his name is a combo of both. As a kid, I had a mixed-breed dog that I named She-Ra, based on the cartoon character. I was a big He-Man fan at the time, but since my dog was female, I opted to name her after He-Man's sister, She-Ra. My daughter has a guinea pig called Snowball, because he is albino and chubby so he looks like a snowball.
